DAK DAK GOES FORTH: Mid-war 100pts Flames of War Tournament
February 19th and 20th 2022
It’s time to conquer the deserts of North Africa and the hills of Sicily and Tunisia as DAK! DAK! GO! Makes its first run in version four after a long absence.
This will be a two day, five game, red vs blue tournament with up to eight players aside. Each player will declare for a side (and we welcome anyone who can bring both sides to balance up on the day); Either the axis forces of Germany and Italy or the Allies of the British Empire, United States of America and the free forces of occupied Europe. Players will select a 100pt force using the follow books:
British Empire: Armoured Fist/Desert Rats and Red Devils
USA: Fighting First and All American
Germany: AfrikaKorps, Iron Cross (as it does a better job of Tunisia/Siciliy Germans) and Death From Above
Italy: Avanti and Death From Above
There are a few restrictions in so far as the following formation cards can only be taken as a second formation:
British Empire: Any Armoured Car Squadron (Humber, Daimler, Mailed Fist)
USA: M3A1 Armoured Recon Company
Germany: Any Armoured Car Company
Italy: AB41 Armoured Car Company, L6/40 Light Tank Company
Missions will be generated using the Extended Mission Chart and battle stances. Instead of rolling for mission, the TO or their appointed deputy will draw a token from a bag marked 1-6 to determine the mission to be used, then discard the token. This should avoid any mission repetition.
There will be prizes for best Allied General (judged by number of wins, followed by number of victory points), best Axis General (similarly judged), as well as player nominated “most sporting” and “best presented”.
