Nature Finds A Way
There’s an island filled with dinosaurs out there. Maybe it was a botched attempt at a theme park, maybe it’s a pocket of wilderness untouched by mankind. Either way, you’re trapped there and you need to get out.
Together we’ll make the reason behind the island and the specifics of the dinosaurs within, then the players will try to find a way to get off the island before they’re eaten or before some kind of natural disaster dooms everyone.
Channel your inner Ian Malcolm, Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler or even the kids from Jurassic Park! The system’s Powered by the Apocalypse so the stats and moves you do are heavily thematic to dinosaur survival stories. There’s a map we’ll draw on, too!
You don’t need to know anything about the system ahead of time, or about roleplaying games at all! We’re completely newbie friendly!
I’ll be bringing dice along, but if you’ve got some dice then bring them, too! The game also encourages bringing plastic dinosaurs along for ambience. I’ll bring some, but feels free to add more so we can have a dinosaur park on our table.
We will use safety tools to make sure everyone’s enjoying this game in a fun, comfortable way. This isn’t expected to be too brutal a game, but dinosaurs will be messing folks up, so we’ll have Lines & Veils, the X-Card and an Open Door as no game is more important than its players.
Who am I?
I’m Charlie Etheridge-Nunn, an indie RPG reviewer for Who Dares Rolls. I’ve been running convention games since 2004 and running for the Dice Saloon since 2019.
