Fiasco in a Box!

2-4 players - 4 August 2021

High Ambition and Low Impulse Control

Fargo. The Big Lebowski. Burn After Reading.

Fiasco is a game about bad people making terrible plans, then how entertainingly the plans explode.

Try to scam cryptid hunters, get revenge on a mall Santa, or the neighbourhood watch, or yourself you absolute madlad!

Be the agent of your own destruction

Using a deck of cards, you’ll select your relationships, locations, objects and needs, creating a volatile powderkeg ready to blow!

Each scene you’ll gain cards based on how well or badly the scene ends up, pick some ‘tilts’ to add chaos to the mix and then watch everything explode in a gloriously dramatic fashion!

Game Details

You don’t need to know anything about the system ahead of time, or about roleplaying games at all! We’re completely newbie friendly!

It’s all played using cards which I’ll bring along, as well as notepaper and pens if anyone needs them.

We will use safety tools to make sure everyone’s enjoying this game in a fun, comfortable way. The game has a “Let’s Not!” Button and card to use if there’s any uncomfortable content as the characters are meant to suffer, but the players are not!

Who am I?

I’m Charlie Etheridge-Nunn, an indie RPG reviewer for Who Dares Rolls. I’ve been running convention games since 2004 and running for the Dice Saloon since 2019.
