I hope you will join us for a fantastic, fast paced day of Warhammer 40,000. Where I’m hoping you will make new friends and possibly new enemies, be able to settle ancient grudges, forge new alliances and roll some dice and have fun! The event will take place over the course of three games, they are listed in the event pack available to download here.

I can’t wait to see you all at my first event! I’m looking forward to seeing some great armies in action, and to see who will be the first to take the Priority Orders Received trophy!
The event will consist of three games that are listed below using the matched play Warhammer 40k Rule book. Armies size for this tournament will be 1750pts as this is my first event I want to keep things simple, 2 battalions maximum per army, 1 Codex per army (Forgeworld included)

  • Your army list needs to be submitted for checking before the event, in any format you wish.
  • No more than 1750pts Battle-forged army.
  • Codex? You are only to use 1 codex per army… not including frogeworld/index unit.
  • Forgeworld models allowed
  • 3 copies of your army list for all your opponents to see.
  • Follow all official GW FAQ and beta rules.
  • Proxies models are allowed, as long as they fairly represent the models they’re replacing.
  • Objective markers! Players will need to bring their own objective markers!
  • Paint jobs! You don’t have to have a fully painted army to enter.
  • Please bring a pen and paper so you can record your results.
  • Rules...see pages 212-215 of your rule book if you are unclear (see also Chapter Approved)
  • Any additional questions please ask me.

As mentioned I’m trying to keep it simple, fair and fun. This hobby is all about community and I want everyone to have a good time, I encourage new players to attend this event, as well as the grizzled veterans.

Publications in use All current and in-print Warhammer 40k codex’s and index books, including Forgeworld. I expect you to use the most up-to-date data sheet... codex over index.. Match Making I will be using the ‘Swiss’ system. After your results of the first game please come to me so that I can calculate your results and do my best to fairly match up opponents. I understand that some people may come together from outside clubs and might be drawn to play each other in the first round, if this happens and you would rather play someone else, please let me know and I will do my best to rearrange, as I want everyone to have a great experience and again enjoy themselves. Scoring At the end of each game please record your results on the score sheets provided. Just a reminder you will have roughly two and a half hours per game (this includes deployment). To determine the winner of each game, use the victory conditions as laid out in the mission.

Win -6pts Draw- 2pts Lose 1-pts

Additional Victory Conditions You will also need to record on your score sheet the following victory conditions (where applicable to the mission), as this information will be used to determine tiebreakers and overall scoring. Slay the Warlord First Blood Line breaker Point’s value of units destroyed

Best opponent You will have the chance to vote for your favourite opponent, you get 2 votes to be added to your score sheet. As mentioned before I want this to be a fun event and I want everyone to enjoy themselves, so chose the game you enjoyed the most, the opponent who you had a good laugh with or that you thought was a great sport. Best painted I don’t feel this needs much explanation, again you get 2 votes to be added to your score sheet, just pick your favourites, no wrong answers.

Awards and Prizes 1st 2nd and 3rd place will receive a ‘cash’ prize in the form of store credit. £30 for 1st place £20 for 2nd place and £10 for 3rd place. I will also be offering out a trophy for our first place (to be held in store, so that the world may gaze upon your glory!) and 3 smaller trophies for all those who placed to take home with them, along with certificates. There will also be 2 trophies and certificates for the winners of best painted and best opponents.

Please Note: Refunds can only be issued on tickets up to 14 days before the event.
