The imperials are massing near the planet but history this time around is different, a rebel fleet has emerged to stop the Death Star before it opens fire.

Can you win this themed X-Wing event for the rebels?

Or will you support the Imperial cause and make sure Alderaan remains an asteroid belt.

Or fly a scum list and you will decide the fate of the planet at the end... it will be your choice!

FORMAT
The Death Star is fully operational and intelligence reports say it has calibrated its main weapon to fire a shorter pulse at a faster rate to ensure complete destruction to incoming rebel ships, however the accuracy at this frequency is not great and Imperial ships are at risk....

Your games may be affected by the Death Star throughout your day.

As the name suggests, this is a casual X-wing tournament open to all level of players, from complete beginners to blaster-scarred veterans. To encourage an atmosphere of casual play, there will be a few rules in place with regards to squad building…

ALL FACTIONS:
- Up to 100pts cap per squad
- No more than 50pts to be spent on a single ship
- No more than 1 'Twin Laser Turrets' allowed in a list
- No more than 2 'Crackshot' Elite Pilot Talents in a list
IMPERIALS:
- No 'Palpatine' crew card allowed

SCUM:
- No more than 1 Jumpmaster 5000 in a list
- No more than 2 Attanni Mindlink cards in a list

REBELS:
- No 'R2-D2' astromech card allowed

75 minute rounds using standard dogfight rules from the latest FAQ.
Win 1 point

Any game ending in a draw will be determined using the new Final Salvo rule.

Squads must contain no more than 100 squad points and conform to all of the rules laid down in the core rulebook, FAQ and tournament rules PDF.

Players will also require all tokens, templates and cards they will need during the day. Proxies are not allowed at the competitive level of play.
Either Damage deck maybe used, but it must be the same one for the whole tournament.

TIMING:
10:00 - 10:50 Sign in.
10:50 - 11:00 Announcement of 1st round pairings and set up time.
11:00 - 12:15 Round 1.
12:20 - 12:30 Announcement of 2nd round pairings and set up time.
12:30 - 13:45 Round 2.
13:45 - 14:15 Lunch.
14:25 - 14:35 Announcement of 3rd round pairings and set up time.
14:35 - 15:50 Round 3.
16:00 - 16:10 Announcement of 4th round pairings and set up time.
16:10 - 17:25 Round 4.

FOOD AND DRINK
Dice Saloon’s cafe carries a range of drinks, snacks, sandwiches and other refreshments.
We ask that no outside food and drink be brought into the building.
Anyone caught bringing in outside alcohol will be asked to leave immediately, with no refund.
Any dietary requirements? Please inform us and we can make exceptions.

There is plenty of parking spaces nearby (though at a cost)
The Vantage Point car park is available all day at £1.50/hr
