WHAT: The Dice Saloon X-Wing Hyperspace Trial
WHEN: Saturday, March 23 - Sunday, March 24
WHERE: The Dice Saloon. Unit 6, Longley Industrial Estate, New England St, Brighton BN1 4GY
We will be doing Swiss rounds with the number of rounds determined by the number of players with a top cut on day 2.
We are limiting the event to 64 players.
The expected schedule for this event is as follows:
DAY 1 - Saturday, March 23
9:00 - 10:00 Sign in. (Coffee and Croissant time)
10:15 - Round 1 start time.
We are aiming for a lunch break after round 2 with around 20 minute breaks between rounds to give players a chance to breathe.
Expected finish time for day 1 is 20:30
DAY 2 - Sunday March 24
10:00 - 10:30 - Sign in for Top 8 Cut
10:45 - Top 8 begins
The plan is to have some space available for a few 8 player Hangar Bay Pods - The TO will have more information on Saturday about availability and timings.

This tournament will be a “Formal” level tournament.
This tournament level expects players to possess at least a minimal amount of experience. Players should be familiar with the game rules and be prepared to exercise that knowledge to play at a reasonable pace. Players are expected to avoid bumping ships and refrain from other sloppy play mistakes. The focus is a friendly competitive environment. The Formal Tier is used for Hyperspace Trial-level events.
Standard FFG Tournament scoring system will be used.

Any game ending in a draw will be determined using the Final Salvo rule.
The tournament will use the HYPERSPACE GAME MODE - Each player is required to bring two copies of their squad. (One copy for the TO and the other for your opponent)
Squads must contain no more than 200 squad points and conform to all of the rules laid down in the core rulebook, rules reference and tournament rules PDF.
Players will also require all tokens, templates and cards they will need during the day. Proxies are not allowed at the competitive level of play.

Dice Saloon’s cafe carries a range of drinks, snacks, sandwiches and other refreshments.
We ask that no outside food and drink be brought into the building. Any dietary requirements? Please inform us and we can make exceptions.

There is plenty of parking spaces nearby (though at a cost)
The Vantage Point car park is available all day at £1.50/hr
The London Road car park is a 5 minute walk away at more reasonable prices (Check the Brighton & Hove website for details)
