3-5 players

We’re entering December and it’s time for some festive cheer. Warmer in the Winter is a Powered by the Apocalypse Heart game where players will take part in their own cheesy Netflix/Hallmark style romcom.

Return to your hometown after too long away, rediscover the meaning of Christmas, get into mild hijinks and hilarious scrapes. This is a game which uses its mechanics to replicate the tropes and style of cosy romantic comedies, just what we need at the end of a stressful year. Classes include the Dashing who has a great sense of duty which blocks them pursuing their desires, the Busybody who’s always spreading gossip through the town, the Rival who’s going to stir things up and the Child who’ll bring some precocious cheer. There are even rules for supernatural characters if we need a person out of time or literal Santa to show up and help out.

Join me for some hot chocolate and cosy gaming!

Game Details
You don’t need to know anything about RPGs in order to play this game. If you’ve got a couple of six-sided dice that are your favourites, bring them down, otherwise I’ll be providing dice and tokens for folks, as well as playbooks for each of the roles.

This is going to be the kind of story which Netflix would show as part of their Christmas romcoms, so I don’t expect much adult content, but it’s a romantic story so in case anyone’s uncomfortable, I’ll be bringing the X card and we can always fade to black or skip over any awkward scenes.
