A ticket for Kids Club Adventures - D&D Games Master Workshop (Week 5) 21/8/25IMPORTANT: Once you have purchased a ticket please complete this Google form (click here).
This will provide us with all the legal bits we require and also your child's choice of toastie. All toasties are prepared in advance so please make sure you complete the form two days before the event is due to start, thank you.
Every Thursday during the summer holidays we will be running a Workshop for children aged 10 to 15 that want to learn how to run their own Dungeons & Dragons scenarios/campaigns.
There will be a break at 1pm for lunch which will be provided.
Lunch will consist off:
A Toastie
Pack of crisps
One chocolate bar
Squash will be available all day
The café will also be open during this time if they require any additional supplies. If your child has any allergies or dietary requirements please let us know on the consent form
The workshop will run for 6 weeks, covering a different topic each session. It is not necessary to attend every session but is advisable to get the full experience.
Week 1 - Character Building
Learn how to create characters with fleshed out back stories with references to other characters and places of your fantasy world.
Week 2 - Narrative Web
Learn story telling techniques to engage your players and convey information of the characters and world you have created.
Week 3 - Map Making
Now we have a better idea of our world its time to create a map showing what exciting events are taking place.
Week 4 - The Big Bad Evil Guy (BBEG)
Every D&D story has one and we need to make sure yours is the biggest, baddest, smelliest of them all!
Week 5 - Dungeon Making 101
Learn how to create a dungeon from scratch. Discuss logical locations, enemy encounters, plot twists, boss rooms and treasure hoards!
Week 6 - Bringing it all together
What makes a great Games Master? Learn important tips for providing a good time for your players and how to maintain that through a campaign. Learn the best way to get a session started and how to plan for a long campaign
