The Penguin - Gotham TV Series

A small time hood, Oswald Cobblepot worked for the vicious mobster Fish Mooney, one of Don Falcone's main hoods and owner of Gotham's hottest nightclub. Oswald had plans to be a big player himself and attempted to rat Fish out to the GCPD. When she discovered his disloyalty she beat him, causing the deformities that force him to walk with a shuffling waddle leading to him being given the nickname 'Penguin'.

Believed dead Penguin returned to Gotham and began working his way up the rungs of power of the criminal underworld. Though he appears a charming sychophant he is actually a ruthless sociopath hungry for wealth, influence and power. Despite this he is patient and plans his moves in detail ahead of time though he has proven adept at playing the hand fate deals him and coming out on top regardless.
